A pelvic positioning belt is necessary to provide appropriate and stable pelvic positioning in the seat. When properly placed, it controls the pelvis and provides safety and stability for the wheelchair user. The retractable belt has a button which will allow the pelvic belt to retract like a car seat belt to keep straps from falling to the side, getting caught under the seat or tires, and will stay within reach for independent operation.
