Description
The new Permobil laterals feature an innovative mounting track and hardware that allow each lateral to be easily positioned while the user is seated in the chair. Better yet, the adjustment lever provides tool-less medial/lateral adjustment – especially useful when putting on or taking off a coat. Don’t want to remove the hardware to create space? Simply pull on the strap to release the latch and swing away the laterals 120°. The pull strap is an intuitive option that pulls in the direction of swing and is visible through the protective sleeve. The sleeve and pad covers are made from waterproof stretch material that looks sharp and is easy to clean.
The contours and composition of the links allow them to be both strong and thin. At each joint, the links interlace for high friction and joint stability. Troughs in the lateral pads (available in 3” x 5” and 5” x 7”) help hide the links to further reduce thickness. The troughs also contain a series of mounting holes for a wide range of depth adjustments. Additional medial adjustments, up to 1.5” on each side, can be achieved by rotating the middle link inward. The laterals are available on all Corpus, Corpus 3G and Corpus VS configurations.
